Pricing is based on the amount stored offsite on the secure server(s).  The software compresses the files up to 90%, prior to transmission offsite.  What this means is that 1 gigabyte of document files occupies approximately 100 megabytes of space offsite.  Our experience is that customers backing up a variety of file types can reasonably expect to have the files compressed to approximately half of the original size.
